Summary: After Holmes returns there are recriminations. And then changes, subtle and insidious. There may even be a plot afoot. If only Holmes were more of a detective.
Reasons for Reccing: Post-Reichenbach stories are a guilty pleasure of mine across Sherlock's incarnations. As everyone probably already knows, I'm a sucker for a good hurt/comfort story, and Reichenbach provides ample opportunity for hurt. What I loved about this story was the way the author wrote Mary. So many times, we shuffle the female characters off to the side to make room for the epic romance between the two main male characters, but this story doesn't do that in the least. Mary is smart, sweet and absolutely charming while Sherlock is baffled and confounded about the whole thing. Watson remains his cranky, amazing self. I don't read a lot of movie fic from recent Sherlock movies, more because I haven't found a lot of it rather than anything else, but this story definitely caught my eye and captured my interest.
